During the 1970's,
this classic book astounded the world with its claims that Earth
had been visited by space visitors. Now it is time to
re-visit this classic book from a new vantage point of
alien abductions.
Chariots of the Gods author
Erich Von Daniken asks if space men visited earth
thousands of years ago. The author explores many kinds of
discoveries.
He asks
provocative questions, such as, did space visitors travel
to Earth thousands of years ago? He points out evidence
of electric batteries that existed thousands of years
ago. He reports numbers with 15 digits, something not
registered by any computer, and yet the ancient
civilizations knew about them. He also explores religions
as they relate to stories of gods visiting earth, Gods
who promised a better life only to use
ultra-sophisticated weapons to destroy the people on
earth.
Author
Daniken notes that it took 400,000 years for mankind to
reach his present state of knowledge. Yet we only have
7000 years of human history. How did this happen? Where
did our knowledge come from? All over the world there are
ruins and improbable objects which cannot be explained by
reference to conventional theories of archeology,
history, or religion.
Why are
the world's sacred books full of descriptions of gods who
came down from the sky in fiery chariots and who always
promised to return? What possible explanations can be
found for a huge block of rock the size of a four-story
house, weighing 20,000 tons, complete with steps, ramps,
and decorations?

Chariots of the Gods
The author
asks many more questions than he answers, such as, was
God an astronaut? Who created the land of the bird men on
Easter Island? How did the pre-Inca people build
fantastic lines and huge drawings on the ground at Nazca?
The author references many passages from the Bible and
shows how they may actually be references to space
visitors or aliens. The center section of the book
contains excellent photographs of unsolved mysteries of
the past.
