I am always amazed at the
ability of a person to witness something so extraordinary as a
flying object with no recognizable features - something that
obviously does not belong in our skies, and not mention a word
about their experience to anyone, sometimes not even their
spouse. Then after thirty years or so, they finally come out.
Only then do we discover that UFOs are nothing new, around here
at least. The reason for silence is always the same, however:
fear of ridicule. Most feel that social attitudes have shifted
enough to take a chance, and relate their life-altering
encounters.

There is a build up of military
activity at nearby Camp Atterbury, along with many leads which
direct attention toward Crane Naval Surface Warfare Center,
southwest of Bloomington. For those of us personally involved in
the local UFO phenomenon, we have to deal with not only hang-up
phone calls, but also government agents coming to our door, and
overflights of military helicopters, (many are "Hueys"
but some are "Apaches") sometimes hovering over the
witness and tilting their nose, and thereby, their gunsights in
an intimidating manner.
